Can’t Buy Me Love…But You Can Buy Me A…

So today’s topic for RTW at YA HIGHWAY is what would you buy if you got that elusive stardom we all shudder to think about but secretly covet.

If money were no longer a concern, what would you do?

This is what I’d do.

1.) Pay off my house.

2.) Remodel my house. (Which is kinda silly as it is huge and gorgeous, but I’d like a new kitchen and front porch.)

3.) Put a ton in the boys college accounts.

4.) Buy a new car! A Volvo XC90 to be exact. With all the bells and whistles. And then drive it till it fell apart. (I drive an 11 year old SUV now with big rust spots, but she gets me to work every day, so I can dream!)

5.) Pad the ole retirement account. Boring? Yes. Need to do something long term practical though.

6.) Travel. Everywhere. Anytime. My husband and I have talked about going to Scotland for about 4 weeks ever since we got married. How cool would it be to let the boys experience something like that!

7.) Make a huge donation to the American Cancer Society in my dad’s memory.

Then, it would be nice to just have spending money. Be able to pay the boys school tuition in one lump, pay off my student loans, be able to breathe once in awhile. I’d love to go P/T at my day job at some point too. I’d never quit, I love it too much and the benefits are amazing. Maybe one day if I strike it big, I can cut back a couple of days.

So there you have it, my “it’s always nice to dream wish list.” How about you? Stop by at YA HIGHWAY and let us know what you’d do if you had the money.
